Looking at some of the big ticket items, they doubled the resolution of the display, while also nearly doubling the battery life in both smartwatch mode and GPS watch mode. It also gets all the software largely to parity with the Venu 2 series as well. This new model essentially brings the hardware specs inline (or even above) the newer Venu 2 series units. Garmin today has announced their latest Venu series watch, the Garmin Venu Sq 2, which is an update to the existing Garmin Venu Sq watch that came out two years ago.
